My creative process always starts with dreaming. The question “what would I want to do (or see) if I was at this site or event” is always my jumping off point. Without fail, I begin dreaming of something beyond my abilities which is a great excuse to make connections or collaborate with friends who can fill in the gaps of what I lack. My favorite pieces I’ve been a part of are ones where the end project is bigger than any of the individuals involved. We all lean on each other for the skills needed and wind up picking up new abilities through the process.  When I’m most in my element I take on the roles of prototyper and director. I love coming up with the idea, figuring out the basics of how it will come together and assembling a team of creatives to realize the vision.
